Everything about the interior is saintly, including the food items on the menu, which are all given saintly names. Impossible not to notice at Vaticano Cucina is also the wood-burning oven where all the house pizzas are created. This oven, stands out easily, thanks to the antique Romanesque lion’s head design on the exterior. The sleek expansive interior can sit over 30 individuals and offers diners a heavily assorted menu that favours simplicity, as well as seasonal locally sourced ingredients. The interior was completely refitted and now looks nothing like its previous predecessor (Koutouki Taverna). The previous village tile floors were replaced with polished cement floors. Now, Vaticano Cucina is a spacious modern open space whose central artwork above helps to tie the interior decor together.
